Trainer

PermanentYaoundé — ACERFI Formation Centre

ACERFI Formation, MINEFOP-accredited for thirty years, is looking for expert trainers to lead its diploma and vocational programmes. An ACERFI trainer does more than deliver a syllabus: they embody a discipline and a method, and take every learner to a certified level of mastery. They design their teaching sequences, run the sessions, supervise practical work and assess learners against the centre's standards. The pattern of work depends on the programme: occasional sessional work, a fixed-term contract or a long-term assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Design the teaching materials for each module in line with the programme framework.
  • Deliver training sessions in person and, where applicable, remotely.
  • Supervise practical work, group projects and case studies.
  • Assess learners against the centre's standards: continuous assessment, projects, final exams.
  • Provide individual follow-up for learners who are struggling and adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Sit on project defence panels and take part in issuing certificates.
  • Keep actively up to date in the field and refresh content every year.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of programmes, working with the Academic Department.
  • Represent ACERFI Formation at professional events and trade fairs when asked.
  • Meet administrative deadlines: attendance sheets, marks, session reports.

Requirements

Fields we are looking for

  • Digital marketing — SEO / SEA, social media, content, analytics, growth — from the fundamentals to hands-on practice in the field.
  • Cybersecurity — Fundamentals, pentesting, SOC, governance and compliance — international frameworks and real-world cases.
  • Software development — Web, mobile, back-end, DevOps, architecture — modern methodologies and code quality.
  • Artificial intelligence — Fundamentals, machine learning, NLP, applied generative AI — business uses and ethical limits.
  • Networks & Cloud Computing — Infrastructure, virtualisation, AWS / Azure / GCP, systems administration — hands-on practice on the platforms.

Education & required level

  • Minimum Master's level (Bac+4/5) in the subject taught, or recognised equivalent professional experience.
  • Recognised certification in the field (CCNA, Microsoft, AWS, Google, CEH, etc., depending on speciality): a strong asset.
  • Previous training experience — at a university, in a company or at a training centre — desirable.

Knowledge

  • Expert command of the subject taught.
  • Knowledge of the international standards and certifications in the field.
  • Basic knowledge of adult learning and training design.
  • Good written and spoken French; technical English desirable.

Skills

  • Designing structured, progressive teaching materials.
  • Leading mixed-ability groups and adapting to learners' actual level.
  • Supervising projects and practical work.
  • Rigorous assessment and constructive feedback.
  • Keeping continuously up to date technically and the ability to update a programme.
  • Proficiency with digital classroom tools: Office, LMS platforms, collaboration tools.

Personal qualities

  • High teaching standards and a commitment to passing on knowledge.
  • Patience and availability for learners.
  • Exemplary professional conduct — embodying the expected standard.
  • Rigour in following the programme framework and administrative deadlines.
  • A collegial approach with the teaching team and management.
  • Openness to feedback and the ability to question one's own practice.
